Bowling at High Legh - 67Kb

What we offer

Flexible Bowling Arrangements

You will be able to enjoy flexible bowling arrangements as there are many times of the week when the green is not required for matches, particularly most weekday mornings and afternoons and at weekends. Just make your own arrangements to play with another member or with a friend.

Social Bowling

There is a very active social bowling group, particularly on Wednesday afternoons. You can join in with experienced and less experienced bowlers. The group also has friendly matches with other clubs, both at home and away which can be found on our Diary Page

Club Competitions & Events

We offer a programme of planned events and competitions to meet the needs of all members and our Fun Day has become a popular feature for members and non-members alike.

Team Bowling

Through our affiliation to Cheshire County Crown Green Bowling Association and Greater Manchester Crown Green Bowling Association we field nine teams across the various Knutsford, Norley and Trafford Leagues on two afternoons (Tuesday & Thursday) and four evenings (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) during weekdays.

Green Availability

To summarise the various social and team bowling schedules, we hope you find the following table useful. Please note that it is intended only as a guide, as sometimes re-arranged team fixtures need to be scheduled “out of hours”.

Indoor Season

For those who like to keep active during the winter months, we have a short-mat indoor bowls section that plays in High Legh Village Hall. This takes place in the afternoon on Mondays and Wednesdays. Evening indoor bowling takes place on Wednesdays. We also have a High Legh team that plays long-mat bowling at Birchwood on Monday afternoons.

Improving Your Game

Every now and then, we arrange a Coaching Day, run by fully qualified British Crown Green Bowling Association coaches under the auspices of Cheshire County Bowling Association. In addition, for people who are new to bowling, we have a number of members who will gladly give their time to helping them with the basics of the game.
